Not sure how this web site will build and materialise, but what the hell. Not sure if I want to write and comment on a blog frequently, but as I have a Facebook account I wonder whether this will develop into the same kind of thing too? Let’s wait and see what happens over the next month or so?.

So what am I up too now? Well as I said, I am on holiday in our apartment in Sal, Cape Verde. We arrived last Monday 22nd and fly back home on the 5th January. So far J has been playing for the Menifute team and I have been asked to put together a website for them. This is where this blogging has come from. Quite simply I have needed to purchase some HTML software and bingo, it comes with the feature to blog and hence, I thought I would give it a go.

I’ve been merrily snapping photos for the past few days and thought it would be good to upload here. Some you may be interested in and some not.

The biggest challenge today has been trying to find G a tin of baked beans for tea. Certainly I can find tins of beans and indeed, many different types and varieties but not a tin of plain ol’ baked beans. I am sure the quest will continue tomorrow.

Talking of tomorrow, we have been told that the surf is up at Ponta Preta so we think this would be a nice day to spend New Year’s Eve. Not sure what Ponta Preta is or where it is located? Go to YouTube and search for “ponta preta” and you will see.
